MGK Had More Than One Fall On SNL

Feb 1, 2021 | 8:20 AM

Saturday Night Live returned over the weekend with host John Krasinski and the SNL debut for musical guest Machine Gun Kelly. He preformed two songs for us starting with his hit “My Ex’s Best Friend” which is currently sitting at #15 on the charts. He brought it down a notch for his performance of “Lonely.”

His second performance which was just him, his guitar and band under a spotlight was the first of two falls so to speak for the artist. Turns out the second performance wasn’t suppose to be that intimate, in fact following the show Kelly tweeted “10 seconds before we played “lonely” on SNL, they came up and said the whole lighting board and set up we had for the performance crashed.”

Despite the mishap he went on to say, “that was the best thing that could’ve happened.”

Kelly’s second fall came at the close of the show as John Krasinski closed the show and thanked everyone, Pete Davidson came over to shake MGK hand and Kelly attempted to put Davidson over his shoulder and as he did they both fell right off the stage.
