$20,000 Back To Business Bonus Contest Rules Addendum
These contest rules are specific to the 20K Back To Business Bonus Giveaway Contest (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a WBCV, WGLX, WHTQ, and WYTE (the “Company” or the “Station”). A copy of these specific contest rules are available by contacting the studio at 2301 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the contest page on the Stations’ websites at www.bigcheese1079.com/, www.wglx.com/, www.hot967fm.com/ and www.y1065.com/.
The $20,000 Road to Recovery Advertising Giveaway Contest will run from 6.1.2020 through 6.12.2020. The winners of the contest will be determined on 6.15.2020, and advertising schedules will run from 6.17.2020-8.2.2020.
Who Can Enter
To enter, contestants must be a for-profit independent small businesses, with less than 100 employees, located in Marathon, Portage and/or Wood counties in the State of Wisconsin that wish to advertise on one of the four stations. Persons entering on behalf of the business must have the legal authority to do so and must be 18 years of age or older on or before June 1, 2020. Contestants can only win one prize. Only one winner per household.
Employees of Station, NRG Media, other radio stations in Station’s metropolitan statistical area; their affiliates, subsidiaries, successor companies; contest sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers and Immediate Family Members of anyone so situated are not eligible to participate in any contest on Station. “Immediate Family Members” shall include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws”, or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption or guardianship, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related. Contestants and Immediate Family Members of contestants who have won a prize valued at $25 or greater on Station within the last 30 days are not eligible to participate or win.
How to Play:
No purchase necessary. To enter, visit each stations’ website above and complete an entry form. Businesses may enter once per day, per station. Submitting more than one entry per business per station per day will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
Deadline to enter is at 11:59 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020. Prize will be won on Monday, June 15, 2020 and winners will be contacted by phone or email. Four prizes will be awarded, each valued at $5,000.00. The prize is an advertising package from NRG Media, LLC on one of the Wausau/Stevens Point market radio stations named above. One winner will be randomly selected from each radio stations’ eligible entries on June 15, 2020 and awarded the prize package. Winners may only win on one station. If an entrant is selected to win on 2 or more stations, winner will be permitted to choose which station prize to accept. Another winner will be drawn from the eligible entries for the station(s) not picked. Stations’ sole responsibility will be to award the prize. Stations will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use the prize. Prize is not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
Four prizes will be awarded in total. One prize of $5,000.00 of advertising time will be awarded on each of WBCV, WGLX, WHTQ and WYTE. The prize winners are responsible for paying all applicable federal and state taxes and will be issued an IRS 1099 form. Prize Value: $5,000.00, total value of all prizes is $20,000.00
Each spot will be valued at the standard ad rates published by the Stations. Spots are pre-emptible but will be made good prior to the expiration date, August 2, 2020. All commercials will air M-SU / 6am-12m. Stations reserve the right to move, substitute, or change the advertising schedule as needed, only guaranteeing that the total value of the spots will be $5,000.00. Winners are not permitted to substitute this prize for already booked schedules All copy must be pre-approved by the radio stations. Stations reserve the right to decline any illegal or inappropriate message. Commercials involving political or issue advertising, as well as commercials promoting the sale of tobacco products, marijuana/cannabis products, or any goods or services whose advertising is prohibited by the laws or regulations of the state or federal government, will be declined. This package cannot be substituted or used to pay an invoice and is not redeemable for cash. Contest Sponsors are ineligible to participate in this contest.
Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Transfer or assignment of prizes is not allowed.
Prizes not claimed within 30 days of being awarded shall be considered forfeited and will become property of the Station. Such a prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management.
Station and contest sponsors are not responsible for a contestant’s inability to acquire transportation to a location to compete in an event, personal circumstances prohibiting participation in a contest or other circumstances beyond their control. Winners may make no substitution or transfer of prize. Nothing in any contest is intended to create or imply any contractual, fiduciary or other rights for the contestant or obligations, except as expressly stated by Station.
Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for (i) violating any of these rules, (ii) tampering with the entry process or the operation of Station electronic site, (iii) gaining an unfair advantage in participating in the contest, (iv) obtaining winner status using fraudulent means, or (v) engaging in otherwise unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing, or threatening behavior. Furthermore, any resale or auction or attempt to resell or auction complimentary prizes, if any, will result in disqualification for all future contests.
Entries from individuals who determined to not be eligible to participate will be disqualified at Station’s discretion.
Winner, on his own behalf and on behalf of Winner’s heirs, successors or assigns, in consideration of participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, does hereby COVENANT TO FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE NRG Media, WBCV,WGLX, WHTQ, WYTE, contest sponsors, and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to Winner’s participation in or winning of any contest and/or acceptance, award, ownership or use of prize after it is awarded.
Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified.
Publicity; Use of Personal Information.
By participating, all participants and winner(s) grant the Company exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in the Contest, participants agree that the Company may disclose to third parties personal information obtained from participants in the Contest, including but not limited to name and city of residence, and use such information for marketing and other purposes on a worldwide basis in perpetuity.
All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the Company to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the Company. Such use may include, but is not limited to, enrolling entrant in one or more of the Company’s listener clubs and sending entrant correspondence and solicitations with regard to such clubs.
By participating in the Contest, each participant and winner, their heirs and assigns indemnifies, holds harmless and waives any and all claims of liability against the Company, NRG Media LLC, parent, related, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their employees, agents, members, affiliates, officers, volunteers or sponsors of each, the Contest’s sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any claim, demand, cause of action, personal injury, death or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize. In order to receive a prize, participants must sign an official waiver form provided by the Company.
Conduct and Decisions.
By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Company personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited, and anyone behaving in such manner will be disqualified from entering the contest and asked to leave any event associated with the Contest. The Company will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and the Company’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference, public safety concerns, or any event beyond the control of the Company, the Company reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the Company deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Company and are final. The Company may waive any of these rules or terminate the contest in its sole discretion at any time. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITE, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANTS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Compliance with Law.
The conduct of the Contest is governed by the applicable laws of the United States of America, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. Station(s) shall follow all applicable federal, state and local laws for conducting contests.

These General Contest Rules apply to all contests or promotions conducted by the Station, unless amended, modified or superseded by rules for specific contests, events or promotions.
