Disney+ is working on a new series that will be all about Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ewan McGregor is in talks to reprise his role as Jedi Master Obi-Wan.
It’s been long documented that McGregor would love to play Obi-Wan again, the character he first played in 1999’s The Phantom Menace prequel. It’s starting to look as if his wish will come true, as Disney has begun working on a big-budget series which will follow the adventures of the Jedi master.
If you remember back when Disney acquired Lucas Films rumors started flying about a stand alone movie about Obi-Wan & Boba Fett. However, with the disappointing box-office returns for Solo Disney pulled all future standalone movies and have since reworked them into TV series which will be available on Disney+.
Disney+ will launch on November 12th, with the Mandalorian and will be followed up with a spin-off show following Cassian Andor and K-2S0 from Rogue One. No word yet on when the Obi-Wan series will start but as soon as I know I’ll let you know too.
