  • People magazine claims Hugh Hefner has died at the age of 91. He leaves behind a partner named Crystal Harris. Hefner sold the Playboy Mansion to his neighbor for $200 million in June. He lived there until the time of his death. Wikipedia claims he was worth $43 million.

Hef was born in Chicago and raised by his parents, both of whom were teachers.

Hefner graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in psychology. He dropped out of grad school at Northwestern University after one semester.

Hefner took out a mortgage, got a bank loan for $600 and raised $8,000 to start Playboy magazine in 1952. The first issue was published in 1953 and featured Marilyn Monroe. It's sold 50, 000 copies

Hefner never met Monroe, but bought the funeral crypt next to hers at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery

  • Hungry Forever magazine claims a bacon 5K run is taking place in Allentown, PA. The race is broken into two parts with runners running 2.5 km before eating a half pound of bacon and then completing the race. It costs $39 to enter the race. Those who finish the run get treated to a breakfast buffet afterwards.

  • London's Meantime Brewing Company is looking to hire a professional beer taster. Their ad reads:
