  • The Charlotte Business Journal claims Walmart stores in Charlotte will be getting 16-foot vending machines within the next week. The high-tech vending machines allow customers to shop online before picking up their groceries in the store through the machine.

  • Business Insider claims a 1 trillion ton iceberg recently broke off in Antarctica. The iceberg is big enough to fill Lake Michigan. Scientists say carbon emissions caused the break off.

  • CNN claims Gymboree is closing 350 stores due to declining sales.

  • AV Club claims KFC is selling a $20,000 Zinger sandwich sculpture. The sandwich was carved from a meteorite piece that is a billions years old. It weighs 9.5 pounds.

  • The Wrap claims Fox has renewed Jamie Foxx's TV show "Beat Shazam" for a second season

  • Corinne Olympios tells People magazine that she is doing the ''Bachelor in Paradise'' reunion special. Deadline.com claims ''Bachelor in Paradise'' will premiere on August 8th

  • Fansided claims Floyd Mayweather could make as much as $300 million for his fight against Conor McGregor

  • Variety magazine claims ''Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus'' is being developed into a movie.

  • Elle Magazine claims a fidget spinner lip balm will soon be available through Sephora. Each spinner will feature three flavors including peach twirl, grape twist and strawberry cyclone. The lip balm will be hidden under each of the fidget spinners's discs. It will retail for $9.99 on Sephora's website in August

  • The Patriot Ledger claims a Weymouth, Massachusetts 7-Eleven clerk hit the store's silent alarm because a customer was upset that they missed the store's Free Slurpee Day on Tuesday. The customer arrived at 7-Eleven at 9:15 p.m. demanding free Slurpees. The promotion ended at 7 p.m. The customer started threatening the clerk before the clerk hit the alarm. Cops quickly arrived and diffused the situation.

  • Mashable claims KFC is celebrating their 30-year anniversary in China by releasing their own smartphone. The phone is red and comes with their logo and Colonel Sanders' face on the back. The phone sells for $161.

  • The Daily Star claims a 6 year-old boy from Kostroma, Russia recently got his finger stuck in a fidget spinner. The boy was scared and feared being punished by his parents so he didn't tell them about his dilemma. Hours later, they had to call the fire department because his finger had swollen to large proportions. Firefighters spent three hours cutting the fidget spinner off the boy's finger. He is expected to make a full recovery

  • The NY Post claims JP Nadeau was recently struck by lightning while speaking at his daughter's wedding. He tells CBC News that the lightning bolt went through his hand. “It was sudden shock, I gotta tell you. It just ran right through me. It was crazy. My daughter’s eyes — she was looking at me — just popped right out. Because all of a sudden there was this lightning flash that hit right behind me. I was looking at my hand, and it lit up. My whole hand — it was like I had a bolt of lightning in my hand. I must have jumped, I’m sure I jumped, because I felt a major shock, but after that I was kind of OK. I didn’t feel anything, and everyone is amazed I’m alive,” he said. “A lot of lesser men would have perished. But I don’t know how it happened that I could just walk, scot free.”
