Happy Place, wow this was a book that once you started reading it you didn’t want to put down. Once I finished it I wanted more. I wanted to know what was next for everyone. Emily Henry made the characters relatable. That made me think of my life and how some of the situations they were going through, I felt like I went through or my friends did. While there were a couple of different storylines going on throughout the book, you never really felt like you knew what the outcome would be until the very end. Even having a surprise thrown in there was great and totally unexpected.
I liked that we did get some backstory on the characters throughout the book as well. The way she went between the past and the present was great and just enough. Those backstories I felt were very important to know what something was happening or why a character was feeling or doing something.
If you are looking for a book that you want to maybe relive your college or early adult days. This is a perfect one to pick up. It will even have you reaching out to old friends that you may not have talked to in a while.
